Job description
- Develop and manage social media strategies across multiple brands to increase engagement and brand awareness.
- Write original captions, post copy, and short-form content across platforms in alignment with each brand's voice and style guidelines.
- Create, schedule, and publish social media content (graphics, videos, captions) across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics, providing actionable insights to optimize campaigns.
- Manage community engagement across all active brand channels, including responding to comments, messages, and reviews.
- Coordinate with external marketing agencies when applicable to ensure social media campaigns align with brand objectives and deliver consistent messaging.
- Maintain a content calendar for consistent posting and timely campaign execution.
- Plan and support execution of paid social campaigns across platforms including Meta Ads and similar channels.
- Produce basic photo and video content to support social media needs.
- Stay current with social media trends and emerging platforms to enhance brand presence and engagement.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to align content strategies with overall marketing campaigns and brand objectives.

Meritum Energy is seeking a Social Media Specialist to join our San Antonio support office. This role owns day-to-day social media execution across multiple brands. The ideal candidate is a strong writer with the ability to translate complex topics into compelling, on-brand content across platforms. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, balancing original content creation with channel management to drive engagement and brand growth across a multi-brand portfolio., * Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, analytics, and best practices for engagement and growth.
- Demonstrated writing ability with command of AP style, brand voice, and platform-specific best practices.
- Ability to translate complex or technical subject matter into clear, engaging, audience-appropriate content.
- Proficiency in social media scheduling tools (Hootsuite, HubSpot, Sprout Social, or equivalent).
- Basic content creation skills (graphic design using Canva or Adobe tools and short-form video).
- Basic experience planning and executing paid social campaigns (Meta Ads, PPC, etc.).
- Basic familiarity with Google Analytics and native platform analytics for performance reporting.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple brands and deadlines simultaneously., * 4+ years of experience in marketing with social media content creation and management as a primary function.
- Portfolio or writing samples demonstrating social media management, brand copywriting, and content across formats.
- Experience managing social media channels across multiple brands or accounts.
