Cash Applications Specialist

• Ensure accurate and timely cash application by processing all incoming payments
• Research, resolve, and apply all cash receipts and wire payments
• Identify and resolve payment discrepancies and customer billing issues
• Maintain and update customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions
• Monitor daily cashreceived versus AR activity
• Communicate with customers regarding billing discrepancies and questions
• Work closely with the collections department to ensure proper application of payments
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports for management
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, * Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Bend, reach, stoop, or climb stairs as needed.
• Maintain the ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements.

The successful candidate must be able to:

• Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with employees, customers, vendors, and business partners.
• Read, analyze, and interpret business documents and correspondence.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and other written communications.
• Actively listen and respond professionally in both individual and group settings.
• Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive or proprietary information.

• Experience ina high transaction volumeenvironment
• Ability tofollow processbut be innovative andrecommend improvements to those processes
• Proven work experience as a Cash Applications Specialist or similar role
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and accounting software
• Excellent data entry skills and a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong numerical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• High school diploma; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is a plus
