Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT Technician to join our dynamic technology support team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation of hardware, software, and network systems. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where technological excellence is valued and fostered., * Provide comprehensive technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across diverse operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
- Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory and handle account provisioning and deprovisioning.
- Support network infrastructure management by troubleshooting LAN/WAN connectivity, DNS issues, TCP/IP configurations, VPN setups, firewalls, and network security protocols such as Meraki.
- Assist with the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware and software using tools like SCCM and GPO.
- Monitor and resolve help desk tickets efficiently using ServiceNow or BMC Remedy platforms while maintaining clear communication with end-users.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including system updates, patch management, backup procedures, and security audits.
- Collaborate with IT teams on infrastructure projects involving Microsoft Windows Server environments and network administration.
- Support remote users by configuring VPN access and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Maintain documentation related to system configurations, procedures, and incident reports to ensure compliance and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Proven experience in providing IT support within a corporate or enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of computer networking concepts such as LAN/WAN architecture, TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, and network security measures.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware components as well as software applications across multiple operating systems including Windows (Microsoft Office Suite), macOS, Linux distributions.
- Familiarity with Active Directory management tools (GPO), SCCM for software deployment, ServiceNow or BMC Remedy for ticketing workflows.
- Knowledge of security protocols including firewalls, VPNs (Virtual Private Networks), TCP/UDP protocols.
- Experience managing customer support tickets with a focus on delivering exceptional service in a help desk setting.
- Ability to analyze technical issues quickly and develop effective solutions with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Prior exposure to mobile device management (MDM), computer hardware maintenance, and IT infrastructure projects is advantageous.
