Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and enthuiastic Systems Support Technician to join our team, responsible for installing and troubleshooting our integrated software and hardware solutions. This in-office role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with our diverse systems deployments. While most support is performed remotely, eventually you will assist with occasional on-site projects. This position is ideal for a professional with foundational technical knowledge in network dynamics, software installation and technical troubleshooting who is eager to learn and ready to advance their career in a hands-on environment., * Provide technical support, including rotating after hours emergency on-call support, via phone, email, and remote access tools
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex software/hardware integration, enterprise networking, and device-level hardware failures
- Install and configure software and hardwaresystems (remotely and occasionally on-site)
- Support of network devices (servers, PCs, thin clients, etc.)
- Apply basic low voltage and Radio Frequency (RF) knowledge to troubleshoot system performance issues
- Document all support activity in CRM/ticketing system
- Track time, service activities, and project work accurately
- Assist in development and maintenance of technical documentation, In addition to orientation on our proprietary systems, we will provide on-the-job training for the right candidate to enhance their proficiency in the following specialized areas:
- Low-voltage cabling and system integration standards
- Radio Frequency (RF) theory and wireless troubleshooting
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in technical installation, service, or support
- Associate degree in electronics, IT, or related field OR 2+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with software integration, networks and an understanding of physical IT infrastructure dynamics
- Knowledge of low-voltage systems, and radio frequency (RF) technology is a plus
- Experience installing and configuring software and hardware systems
- Ability to read and interpret floor plans and blueprints
Familiarity with:
- Microsoft 365 / Windows OS
- Google Workspace
- Basic AutoCAD usage
- MS SQL Express
- IT Networking
- Ability to travel (<5%)
- Ability to obtain a U.S. passport
- Can drive and has valid drivers license
Preferred Skills
- Experience with RF-based systems or wireless technologies
- Background in healthcare, security, or IoT/RTLS systems
- Experience supporting distributors or field technicians
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working on ladders and in varying environments (32°F-90°F)
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
- Fine motor skills for installation support and repair work, * Do you have a valid drivers license?
- This role includes shared responsibility for after-hours emergency support through a rotating on-call schedule. Are you comfortable participating in this rotation?
