We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Desktop Support Specialist for a short-term contract (2 months)to ensure seamless IT operations and user support across our organization. - Troubleshoot software problems related to operating systems, Microsoft Office suite, and enterprise applications using tools like ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy.
- Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory management and oversee Windows Server administration tasks.
- Perform hardware maintenance, upgrades, and installations to ensure all equipment functions correctly and securely.
- Support network connectivity issues including LAN, VPN access, firewall configurations, and basic computer networking troubleshooting.
- Assist with IT infrastructure tasks such as system backups, user account provisioning, and security protocols adherence.
- Document all support activities accurately in help desk systems and communicate effectively with users to resolve issues promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in technical support, system administration, and IT support roles with a focus on desktop environments.
- Strong knowledge of hardware maintenance, computer management, and troubleshooting across multiple operating systems including Windows and macOS.
- Familiarity with Active Directory management, Windows Server administration, Linux systems, and enterprise IT tools like ServiceNow or Jira.
- Expertise in computer networking concepts such as LAN setup, VPN configuration, firewall management, and network troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
- Technical proficiency in software troubleshooting, operating systems management, and hardware diagnostics ensures rapid resolution of issues.
This short-term contract position during the Summer (July and August) with a potiential to extend to few more months.
