We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Senior IT Specialist to lead our technology support and infrastructure initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional technical support, managing complex computer systems, and maintaining robust IT infrastructure to ensure seamless operations across the organization. The Role:
We are looking for someone to take full ownership of our internal systems and technology.
This is not a traditional IT support role. You will be responsible for fixing, optimizing, and potentially rebuilding the systems that run our firm, especially our case management platform (MyCase).
If you are someone who enjoys solving operational problems, building smarter systems, and eliminating inefficiencies, this role is for you., * Provide expert-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across multiple operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Manage and troubleshoot computer hardware components, peripherals, and software applications to ensure optimal performance.
- Oversee computer networking systems such as LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, and other security measures to safeguard organizational data.
- Support help desk operations using tools like ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy, ensuring timely resolution of user inquiries and incidents.
- Maintain and configure IT infrastructure components including servers, switches, routers, and security appliances to uphold network integrity.
- Assist with desktop support tasks such as operating system updates, software troubleshooting, and hardware replacements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT projects that enhance operational efficiency and security protocols.
- Take ownership of our case management system (MyCase) and optimize its performance
- Identify inefficiencies and redesign workflows across the firm
- Build automations to reduce manual work (Zapier, Make, etc.)
- Integrate different tools and platforms used by the firm
- Evaluate and implement new software solutions when needed
- Troubleshoot technical issues across systems (not just hardware)
- Work closely with attorneys and operations team to improve processes
- Reduce reliance on external IT vendors by bringing solutions in-house
Requirements
- Proven experience in providing technical support and troubleshooting for diverse computer systems and networks.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
- Expertise in computer management tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and related productivity applications.
- Familiarity with network configuration, LAN/WAN setup, VPNs, firewalls, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Ability to manage computer hardware components effectively and perform routine maintenance.
- Experience with help desk ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy for incident tracking and resolution.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented approach to assist users at all levels of technical proficiency. - 2-5+ years experience in IT, systems, or operations-related roles
- Strong problem-solving mindset - you fix things, not just maintain them
- Experience with workflow automation tools (Zapier, Make, etc.)
- Experience with CRM or case management systems (MyCase experience is a plus)
- Understanding of integrations, APIs, and how systems connect
- Ability to think operationally, not just technically
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities
- 90 EOS experince highly preferred
Bonus Points:
- Experience working with law firms or legal software
- Experience building internal tools or dashboards
- Familiarity with no-code / low-code platforms
- Experience migrating from one system to another
