Job description

We are seeking a skilled Azure Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud-based data services, with the ability to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives., * Design, build, and optimize data pipelines using Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics.

  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT workflows to ingest, transform, and load data from multiple sources into data lakes and data warehouses.
  • Work with structured and unstructured data, ensuring data quality, integrity, and reliability across systems.
  • Implement data storage solutions using Azure Data Lake Storage and Azure SQL Database.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, ensuring performance optimization and high availability.
  • Implement security, governance, and compliance best practices for data handling on Azure.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure data services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake).
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python (or Scala) for data processing and transformation.
  • Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Spark.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling techniques.
  • Experience in building and optimizing data pipelines and workflows.
  • Knowledge of cloud security, data governance, and performance tuning.
