Job description
We are seeking a hands-on IT professional to serve as the sole onsite support resource for our Columbus office. This role combines Tier 1 end-user support with Tier 2 system administration tasks. The ideal candidate thrives in a hybrid environment where they can resolve daily user issues while also managing core systems such as Office 365, Azure, networking, and security., End-User & Help Desk Support
- Serve as the first point of contact for all local IT issues (hardware, software, printers, conferencing, mobile devices).
- Troubleshoot and resolve workstation, application, and connectivity problems.
- Document recurring issues and solutions for knowledge sharing.
System & Network Administration

Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies in Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.

Administer Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, and Azure AD.

Support server and network equipment, including monitoring performance and backups.

Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices. Projects & Local Office IT

Support Office 365 migrations, integrations, and upgrades.

Assist with IT projects such as infrastructure upgrades, security rollouts, and office technology improvements.

Act as "boots on the ground" to coordinate with remote IT teams/vendors as needed.
Requirements
- 3-7 years of IT support/administration experience.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Office 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
- Experience with Azure administration.
- Familiarity with networking concepts (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls).
- PowerShell scripting a plus.
- Understanding of IT security best practices.

- Able to work independently as the sole onsite IT resource.

Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Associate or equivalent.
- Other relevant Microsoft certifications a plus., 5 days per week on-site / Experience working in mechanical or construction industry preferred., * IT support: 5 years (Required)
- System administration: 2 years (Required)
- Active Directory: 3 years (Required)
- Windows: 7 years (Required)
- PowerShell: 2 years (Preferred)
- Microsoft Dynamics 365: 5 years (Required)
