Job description
- Support the systems engineering, integration, and technical execution of advanced defensive fires and interceptor programs.
- Lead requirements development, technical planning, and systems integration activities throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
- Coordinate cross-functional engineering teams to support system design, integration, verification, and fielding.
- Support technical risk assessments, engineering trade studies, and configuration management.
- Develop and review Systems Engineering Plans (SEPs), technical documentation, and milestone artifacts.
- Support engineering reviews, test readiness reviews, and program milestone activities.
- Collaborate with government customers, prime contractors, and engineering organizations to resolve technical issues and support program execution.
- Prepare and present technical briefings, engineering analyses, and recommendations to government leadership.
- Support verification and validation activities to ensure system performance and mission effectiveness.
- Work within a government-owned classified processing environment while maintaining compliance with security requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or another STEM discipline required., * Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting Department of War systems engineering, integrated air and missile defense, or defensive fires programs.
- Experience supporting the development, integration, or fielding of interceptor, missile defense, or weapon systems.
- Knowledge of systems engineering principles, including requirements management, system integration, verification and validation, and technical risk management.
- Experience supporting engineering activities throughout the defense acquisition lifecycle, including technical reviews and milestone documentation.
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), digital engineering, or systems architecture methodologies preferred.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering teams and collaborating with government customers, prime contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to evaluate technical risks, develop engineering recommendations, and support system-level decision-making.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief technical information to senior government leadership.
