Job description

As a Senior Cloud System Administrator, you will build, maintain, and optimize scalable cloud infrastructure, primarily in Linux environments. You will ensure system reliability, automation, and operational efficiency while collaborating with teams to drive continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Contributing

Core Responsibilities

  • Mentor team members and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning
  • Deploy, manage, and maintain scalable, automated, and well-documented systems
  • Build, scale, and secure cloud infrastructure with a focus on Linux environments
  • Leverage open-source technologies to enhance platform performance and reliability
  • Operate within heterogeneous environments, ensuring seamless integration across systems and applications
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex infrastructure and system issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational efficiency and system performance
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support critical infrastructure

Requirements

  • DEC or bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator in cloud or infrastructure environments
  • Strong experience with Linux system administration and troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience configuring and managing core services such as HTTPd, MySQL, NFS, DHCP, SSH, DNS, and SNMP
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (Shell, Python, Ruby, or Java)
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
