Job description

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You will contribute to the design and development of scalable, secure, and user-centric applications that power Versant's next-generation platforms.   • Implement scalable, fault-tolerant microservices and modern front-end applications.
  • Use SaaS and low-code/no-code platforms where appropriate to accelerate delivery.

  • Write secure, performant, and maintainable code.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of backend development in languages such as Java, Node.js, Python, or Go.
  • Skilled in in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular.
  • Develop scalable and high performing microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure). Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar).
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues in distributed environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to GenAI tools, SaaS platforms, and low-code/no-code tools.
  • Familiarity with serverless technologies and event-driven architecture.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tooling (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Working knowledge of monitoring stacks like Datadog, Prometheus, or ELK.
  • Experience modernizing legacy systems or integrating with enterprise platforms.
  • Awareness of DevOps practices and infrastructure-as-code. Background in media, entertainment business domain is a plus.

Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-Versant worksite, most commonly an employee's residence. Salary range: $105,000 - $140,000.
