Job description
Technical Support & Issue Resolution
- Deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
- Provide Tier II/III support for network escalations, including troubleshooting connectivity, latency, and security issues.
- Design and implement network solutions, including VLANs, VPNs, SD-WAN, and QoS.
- Perform regular network assessments, monitoring, and optimization.
- Ensure firewall security, access controls, and intrusion prevention best practices.
- Manage and maintain wireless networking solutions, optimizing performance.
- Assist in network documentation, topology mapping, and change management.
- Work with vendors to troubleshoot hardware/software issues and implement new solutions.
- Train end-users and IT staff on network-related best practices.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
Customer Communication & Satisfaction
- Ensure regular client updates on ticket status, estimated resolution time, and next steps.
- Provide a professional and customer-focused experience during all interactions.
- Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with key customer stakeholders.
- Document, record, and maintain troubleshooting details and resolutions in the internal ticketing system.
Process & Documentation Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client system documentation.
- Open and manage support tickets with third-party vendors and telecom providers as required.
- Contribute to the company's knowledge base by creating and updating internal documentation.
- Ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and internal response guidelines.
Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in required vendor training and certification programs.
- Identify and report potential service expansion or product sales opportunities to the sales team.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor when interacting with clients and coworkers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
Initial training as well as continuing education will be provided but successful applicants should possess extensive fundamentals and a working knowledge of the technologies used.
In this position, you will serve as the main technical interface to the client and have a direct impact on client satisfaction. Therefore, candidates should also have a demonstrated ability to work independently with little supervision and possess a high level of customer service skill. Excellent written and oral communication skills are also crucial, as well as being able to work with technical, non-technical, or executive staff., * Exceptional Knowledge of Network and Internet technologies: DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP
- Strong expertise in switching, VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and firewall configurations.
- Experience with Fortinet, Cisco, Ubiquiti, or similar network platforms.
- Familiarity with wireless networking, site-to-site VPNs, and SD-WAN solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work self-directed, prioritize tasks, and make decisions with little supervision
- Must possess a valid driver's License
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years of experience in networking, infrastructure, or system administration and a college degree in Computer Science or related field; or 5+ years of experience deploying and supporting networking infrastructure.
- Preference will be given to candidates with Industry certification such as CCNA, CCNP, NSE, etc., * Computer networking: 3 years (Required)
