Job description

Our client is seeking a Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to support and enhance enterprise cloud and infrastructure platforms across Microsoft Azure, Linux, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and disaster recovery environments. This role will focus on cloud modernization, infrastructure automation, container platform administration, and operational support for highly available business-critical systems.

Responsibilities:

Azure & Cloud Infrastructure

  • Design, implement, and support secure, scalable, and highly available Azure solutions.

  • Manage Azure infrastructure, networking, and platform services.

  • Support cloud modernization efforts and migration of on-premises workloads to Azure.

  • Implement identity management, network security, and data protection controls in partnership with security teams.

  • Monitor and optimize cloud performance, availability, and cost using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and related tools.

  • Develop Infrastructure-as-Code and automation solutions using Terraform, Azure CLI, and similar technologies.

  • Support integrations with enterprise applications and operational platforms.

  • Maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational runbooks.

Linux & Container Platforms

  • Administer and support an enterprise environment of 200+ Linux servers across production, QA, and development environments.

  • Perform OS upgrades, patching, performance tuning, and system maintenance.

  • Deploy, administer, and support Kubernetes and OpenShift environments.

  • Manage cluster lifecycle activities including installation, upgrades, patching, scaling, and maintenance.

  • Configure and support RBAC, namespaces, networking, ingress controllers, and persistent storage.

  • Partner with application teams on containerized workloads and production deployments.

  • Monitor platform health, performance, capacity, and availability.

  • Troubleshoot issues across Linux, containers, networking, and storage environments.

Infrastructure Operations & Disaster Recovery

  • Support enterprise backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.

  • Assist with backup validation, recovery testing, and disaster recovery planning.

  • Support Rubrik and Zerto environments.

  • Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and infrastructure reliability efforts.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of infrastructure engineering experience in enterprise environments.

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud services.

  • Strong experience designing, implementing, and supporting Azure-based solutions.

  • Strong Linux administration experience supporting large-scale production environments.

  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift administration.

  • Experience with cloud monitoring, performance optimization, and operational support.

  • Experience supporting VMware environments.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across cloud, operating systems, networking, and storage technologies.

  • Experience supporting highly available, mission-critical environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.

  • Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and cloud cost optimization.

  • Knowledge of IAM, network security, and enterprise security best practices.

  • Experience with cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
