The Associate Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer (CIO) is the university's senior technology leader, responsible for advancing a modern, secure, and innovative IT environment that supports the institution's academic and administrative mission. As a member of the Finance and Administration leadership team, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role plays a key part in shaping and executing the university's technology strategy in support of empowering brighter futures and building stronger communities. • Demonstrated experience providing strategic leadership for enterprise IT in a complex organization, including aligning technology with organizational priorities.
• Proven success leading major IT operations and initiatives, including enterprise systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud services.
• Experience leading process improvement and technology-enabled transformation.
• Knowledge of current and emerging technologies, including cloud, cybersecurity, data/analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI).
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Proven ability to analyze issues, leverage data to inform decisions, and deliver results.
• Advanced degree in a related field or a combination of a bachelor's degree, training, and experience equating to an advanced degree., * Experience in higher education IT leadership.
• Experience with data governance, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.
