Job description
As Senior Software Engineer you are responsible for developing and maintaining the Manufacturing Data Platform, the central system orchestrating data exchange between internal systems and manufacturing operations. This role is critical for ensuring seamless data flow across all production systems and maintaining 24/7 operational reliability.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Design and implement robust data exchange pipelines between manufacturing systems
- Develop and maintain core manufacturing database features and integrations
- Develop and maintain system monitoring and observability solutions
- Ensure ERP synchronization and accurate data flow across manufacturing systems
- Support integration with data analytics platforms and historical data migration
- Optimize system performance and reliability, ensuring 24/7 operational uptime
- Provide technical consultation on data-related topics and system integrations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of software development experience with a focus on Python/Django
- Extensive experience with AWS services and cloud architecture
- Expertise in data modeling, analytics system design, and data warehousing
- Proven track record in designing and implementing large-scale applications
- Strong background in building and maintaining data integration pipelines
- Familiarity with GitLab and modern DevOps practices
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- In-depth understanding of data processing and system integration patterns
- Proven ability to deliver reliable, scalable production systems
SKILLS:
- Expert-level proficiency in Python development with extensive Django framework experience
- Strong experience architecting and implementing large-scale distributed applications
- Advanced knowledge of AWS, with hands-on experience in deploying to ECS and EC2
- Expertise in data modeling, schema design, database optimization, and analytics solutions design
- Skilled in building and maintaining data integration and ETL pipelines
- Experience with business intelligence tools, analytics platforms, and data warehousing solutions
- Strong understanding of observability solutions, including system monitoring, logging, alerting, telemetry, and distributed tracing
- Proficient in CI/CD pipelines, including GitLab workflows
- Strong system design and architectural planning skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
