Job description

Woodland Logistics are recruiting a Junior Systems Analyst for our Head office in Chelmsford. Reporting to the Application Specialist the Junior Systems Analyst will work closely with the Application Specialist, Woodland Logistics Senior Management Team and key business stakeholders across the organisation to provide front line support for our IT platforms at our logistics centre. Along with the demands of the day-to-day IT operations, there will be a mix of KPI and BI frameworks development, systems integration and automation and project management., * Analyse data to correctly determine its proportions and other key metrics.

  • Identify and plan steps to address underlying data quality issues that may prevent or inhibit processing.
  • Design and deliver bespoke MIRs and support business dashboards using Power BI.
  • Lead the full stack development, delivery and automation of reporting, dashboarding and scorecards.
  • Documentation of Process Flow and user guides for all stakeholder levels.
  • Work with IT hardware and software providers to ensure business systems are resilient, reliable, secure and maintained.
  • Understand SQL data structures, coupled with advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Highly capable in supporting the known and future business needs with analysis using SQL queries to derive actional insights.
  • Ability to develop highly visible dashboards.
  • Understanding of API processes and system integrations.
  • Ensure user experience, security and data protection is maintained and enhanced.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Automate (cloud flows and desktop flows) to design and deliver workflow automation across business operations.
  • Develop project plans and establish deadlines for project delivery, monitoring every milestone and tracking all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure timely reporting of any issues encountered whilst at the same time addressing and resolving any conflicts.
  • Support changes in the role necessary to take the department and business forward; and
  • Work to achieve personal objectives set at appraisal and/or those set monthly or quarterly.
  • Achieve agreed individual objectives; and
  • Understand and adhere to all Woodland policies and procedures relevant to the role.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, self-motivated, detail-oriented, learn autonomously, and highly organised.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret complex information and present results in a concise format.
  • Methodological and practical, ability to prioritise and assist business requests with a service mindset.
  • Ability to explain key IT concepts to users, and produce training guides (or host meetings) on new and existing systems.
  • Creative and innovative approach to identifying opportunities where AI tools can be applied to improve data quality, reduce manual effort, and drive measurable efficiencies across the business
