Job description

Baird Group are in exciting times! We are opening fantastic new stores across the UK on both the High Street and in Outlet Centres, with iconic brands including Ted Baker, Limehaus and Antique Rogue. We are making waves in the menswear industry and if that interests you then you'll want to know that we have an exciting new opportunity as an IT Systems Assistant Manager to join our IT team based at home but within travelling distance of our new state of the art Head Office at Thorpe Park, Leeds.

As an IT Systems Assistant Manager, you will play a vital role within our IT team assisting the IT Project Manager to ensure all IT Systems are functioning efficiently and issues dealt with on an ongoing basis. You will provide assistance, training and problem-solving relating to all our internal IT Systems and a central point for all IT system resolution.

Role accountabilities:

  • Prioritise all IT System problems and ensure that they are resolved within the given timescale.

  • Ensure that all IT Systems are fully documented and explanatory guides (online / offline) are available to users.

  • Act as key user / vendor liaison for all IT systems.

  • Carry out testing on all systems in conjunction with the Project Manager.

  • Carry out user training on all systems in conjunction with the Project Manager.

  • Maintain system / vendor bug, issue and feature requirements / lists.

  • Ensure that serious issues pertaining to all systems are escalated to the IT Support Manager, Development Project Manager and Head of IT as necessary.

  • Project Communication

  • Project Activity / Task Management

  • Monitoring systems & processes to ensure optimal uptime.

Requirements

Working knowledge of retail/warehouse IT systems

  • Strong Office 365 knowledge is essential

  • Strong Excel skills

Qualifications & experience:

  • 1 to 2 years' experience of IT systems

  • Previous experience in a similar responsible role

  • Warehouse and stock management exposure beneficial

  • TRS (Retail Suite), Itim, Canary 7, Acumatica Finance systems experience all desirable, * retail & warehouse systems: 1 year (required)

  • IT systems: 1 year (required)
