Job description

QRARC.com is seeking a dedicated and technically proficient System Support Analyst to join our dynamic IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our network infrastructure, servers, and systems to ensure seamless operational performance. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organisational skills and a passion for system administration and computer networking. The position is paid and involves working in a fast-paced environment where problem-solving and customer service are paramount., * Provide technical support for system issues related to DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, VPN, Firewall, VMware, Azure, and AWS environments.

  • Manage and administer Windows Server, Linux systems, and virtualisation platforms to optimise performance and security.
  • Monitor network health using TCP/IP protocols and troubleshoot connectivity issues effectively.
  • Perform system administration tasks including user account management via Active Directory and Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
  • Develop scripts using PowerShell, Bash (Unix shell), or Python to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency.
  • Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT projects and upgrades while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Conduct analysis of system logs and network traffic to identify potential security threats or performance bottlenecks.
  • Assist in the configuration of security measures such as firewalls and VPNs to safeguard organisational data.
  • Provide excellent customer service by resolving technical issues promptly whilst maintaining clear communication with end-users.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in system administration or IT support roles with a focus on computer networking and infrastructure management.
  • Strong knowledge of DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP protocols, Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server environments, Linux systems, VMware, Azure, AWS cloud services, VPNs, firewalls, and virtualization technologies.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages including PowerShell, Bash (Unix shell), or Python for automation purposes.
  • Familiarity with SQL databases and their management is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills in English-both written and verbal-with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
  • Organised with strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment.
  • Analytical thinking with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills with experience in administrative tasks related to IT systems management.
