Job description
- Develop event-driven integrations and backend services
- Build connectors, event-processing services, and data pipelines
- Design scalable integration patterns, schemas, and event flows
- Develop CDC pipelines and resilient messaging solutions
- Improve observability through logging, metrics, and tracing
- Deploy containerised services using Docker and Kubernetes
- Contribute to architecture, code reviews, and engineering standards

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract offering hybrid working with 2 days per week in London, a salary of up to £60,900, a generous pension and holiday allowance, and a flexible working environment. You will work with a modern cloud-native technology stack and cutting-edge integration and streaming technologies within a complex environment undergoing significant digital transformation.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering background
- Experience building integration or event-driven platforms
- Experience with Kafka, Redpanda, or similar streaming technologies
- Experience with enterprise system integrations and API design
- Agile development experience
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with Go and/or Python is desirable
- Experience developing CDC pipelines is desirable
- Azure cloud experience is desirable
- Experience with observability tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry is desirable
- Experience within regulated environments is desirable
