Job description

This position is responsible for the technical lifecycle management, maintenance, support, and architectural alignment of enterprise applications across the organization. Working within the IT Infrastructure team, the IT Application Administrator partners with designated Application Owners to ensure applications are properly maintained, documented, secured, upgraded, and aligned with enterprise standards and regulatory compliance. The role evaluates technical changes, presents recommendations, collaborates with vendors and IT teams to implement approved updates, and participates in the IT on-call rotation while maintaining foundational systems and network knowledge., * Manage the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and operational support of assigned enterprise applications.

  • Monitor application health, performance, availability, integrations, and overall system stability; troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve problems..

  • Partner with Business Solutions and application stakeholders to develop and maintain application roadmaps that support current and future business objectives.

  • Plan, coordinate, test, implement, and support application releases, upgrades, patches, enhancements, and new features, including impact assessments and regression testing.

  • Ensure assigned applications remain on vendor-supported versions and comply with enterprise security, infrastructure, and operational standards.

  • Evaluate proposed application architecture changes and solution designs, assessing impacts to infrastructure, security, networking, integrations, and business operations.

  • Present technical findings, risks, recommendations, and implementation strategies to application owners, project teams, and IT leadership..

  • Collaborate with software vendors and third-party partners to manage support cases, coordinate maintenance activities, and resolve technical issues.

  • Adhere to established IT governance and change management processes, including the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Methods of Procedure (MOPs), implementation plans, rollback plans, and post-implementation validation documentation.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including Visio diagrams, architecture diagrams, integration maps, configuration documentation, workflow documentation, upgrade logs, and disaster recovery procedures.

  • Coordinate with Infrastructure, Technical Support, Information Security, Business Solutions, and application owners to ensure changes and updates are effectively planned, tested, communicated, and executed.

  • Participate in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning, testing, and validation for assigned applications.

  • Ensure applications are integrated with enterprise backup, monitoring, authentication, replication, logging, and security frameworks.

  • Participate in after-hours support, maintenance activities, and on-call rotations, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and other non-standard business hours as required.

  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance and report to work as scheduled.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned., * Complete mandatory annual BSA training that includes Red Flag, Identity Theft, OFAC, CTR and SAR reporting and thresholds, as well as the safe keeping of member information, and passes any applicable tests.

  • Follow all Whitefish Credit Union, Montana and Federal information privacy guidelines.

  • Adhere to all Whitefish Credit Union policies and procedures.

  • Protect Member and Whitefish Credit Union confidential information.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a formal IT change management environment requiring structured documentation, testing validation, and controlled implementation procedures.

  • Experience developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), implementation plans, rollback procedures, and technical documentation.

  • Experience creating Visio diagrams, system architecture documentation, and implementation collateral.

  • Ability to analyze logs and perform structured troubleshooting.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing, and over the phone with internal and external stakeholders; courtesy and tact are essential.

  • Ability and willingness to interact calmly and professionally with people from all backgrounds.

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, act with a sense of urgency, and organize responsibilities with attention to detail and timeliness.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment and share work-related information effectively.

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. to overhead positions with or without accommodation and assistance., * Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience required.

  • 3-5 years of experience in application administration, systems administration, or enterprise software support.

  • 3-5 years of experience working within structured IT environments involving upgrades, vendor coordination, and system lifecycle management.

  • Foundational experience in Linux/Windows server and networking environments.

  • Preferred experience supporting financial services applications or enterprise business platforms.
