Job description

  • The CSS - Employment Services Specialist maintains data related to employers, insurers, courts, private attorneys and other parties within the Palmetto Automated Child Support Services (PACSS) system. The specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and overall maintenance of the employer database within the Employer Services Unit (ESU). This includes updating and optimizing of the employer data table to ensure it meets Child Support Services Division (CSSD) standards and supports the ESU needs.

  • Updates employer records in database as necessary, including new entries, changes in information, and merging of duplicate information; collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather and verify employer data; monitors database performance and recommend or upgrades to enhance efficiency and usability.

  • Conducts research and outreach to employers and other parties maintained in the automated system to document appropriate contact; maintains OTHP data within PACSS for clerk of court, private attorneys, and other parties integral to the provision of Child Support Services.

  • Updates the automated system appropriately with changes in employment status of individuals; serves as a liaison to ensure compliance with the income withholding process; provides guidance to employers on the income withholding process and individual withholdings.

  • Performs job deliver and/or performance or appropriate customer service delivery to clients, the public, and co-workers as an integral requirement. To ensure that personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared, and disposed. To protect the agency networks and application by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.

  • Performs related duties as required. Performs Red Cross Shelter duty as required.

Requirements

A High School Diploma and experience in clerical, administrative, social work, correctional, business administration or general business. An Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree may be substituted for the required work experience.
