Job description

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Data Engineer to join the Data & AI Tribe at ING, focusing on ensuring the right data is in the right place at the right time for the right people. The role is part of an international project in a Cloud & DevOps environment, maintaining and evolving our informational platforms for Data Management, Regulatory & Analytical Reporting., * Ensure best practices within technical design, development of ETL processes and modelling informational solutions.

  • Monitor end-to-end processes, ensuring their operation, detecting technical issues and providing data-based solutions.
  • Maintain platform sustainability, complying with IT and risk Minimum Standards.
  • Guarantee that ETL pipelines and modelling solutions delivered via Azure pipelines align with our best practices.
  • Analyze business needs for implementation and propose IT solutions.
  • Collaborate with different areas contributing to Spain ING Data Strategy.

Requirements

  • Technical knowledge in SQL and NoSQL databases, ETL processes and BI reporting.
  • Expertise in data modelling and data architecture for informational platforms.
  • Proven domain experience in data warehousing, data lakes, and data virtualization within the banking or finance industry.
  • Working experience in Agile environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and high level of English (written and oral).
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and demonstrate a problem-solving mindset.
  • Team player with daily collaboration across departments.
  • International work capability.

Preferred Technical Experience

  • Data Lake and Big Data environments.
  • BigQuery.
  • Oracle (19c).
  • Data virtualization or Denodo tools.
  • IBM DataStage & IBM IGC.
  • IBM Cognos, Power BI, MicroStrategy or similar BI tools.
  • Azure DevOps or other DevOps cloud services.
  • Knowledge and experience in cloud environments.
  • Security, monitoring and logging skills (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Automation tools (Python/Go, DBT).
  • Elastic Cloud Storage knowledge.
