Job description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Network Administrator to join our growing security team in London City. You will be responsible for protecting and monitoring the security posture of all client environments managed by Nexgen Communication Ltd., * Install, configure and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks and VPNs.

Monitor network performance and ensure the availability, reliability and security of IT systems.

Configure and administer Windows and Linux servers, cloud-based services and virtual environments.

Install, maintain and support network equipment used for broadband, VoIP, PDQ payment terminals and business connectivity solutions.

Diagnose and resolve network, hardware, software and connectivity issues for internal users and clients.

Manage user accounts, permissions and access controls using Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.

Perform system updates, security patching, antivirus management, data backups and disaster recovery procedures.

Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams and asset inventories.

Work with technical teams to implement infrastructure improvements and new technology projects.

Ensure compliance with company IT security policies, data protection requirements and industry best practices.
Requirements
Nexgen Communications Ltd is a UK technology company providing managed IT services, cloud solutions, cyber security, internet connectivity, networking solutions and payment technology services to businesses across the United Kingdom. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Administrator to support the management and development of our IT infrastructure and client network environments., * Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering or a related discipline.

Proven experience in network administration, systems administration or IT infrastructure support.

Good knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs and network security.

Experience with Windows Server, Microsoft 365 and cloud technologies.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.
