Job description

The Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of AI, Data and Analytics initiatives that support strategic objectives.

This role will manage projects from initiation through to deployment and benefits realisation, including data platform development, Business Intelligence solutions, advanced analytics capabilities and data governance improvements.

Working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, delivery partners and suppliers, the Project Manager will ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget, while driving measurable business value.

Key Accountabilities

Project Delivery

Lead the planning and delivery of AI, Data and Analytics projects from initiation through to deployment and benefits realisation.

Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets and governance documentation.

Manage project scope, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and change controls.

Ensure delivery aligns with agreed business outcomes and strategic priorities.

Coordinate activities across business, technology and supplier teams.

Stakeholder Management

Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and project sponsors.

Facilitate workshops to define requirements, priorities and delivery roadmaps.

Provide clear and concise project reporting through established governance forums.

Manage stakeholder expectations and support informed decision making.

AI, Data & Analytics Delivery

Deliver projects involving data platforms, data warehousing, reporting, analytics and Business Intelligence solutions.

Support the implementation of AI, automation and advanced analytics capabilities in line with business priorities.

Collaborate with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, Architects and Power BI developers to support effective delivery.

Support data quality, governance, adoption and business readiness activities.

Financial & Resource Management

Manage project budgets, forecasts and resource plans.

Monitor delivery performance against agreed milestones.

Work with suppliers and partners to ensure successful delivery of contracted outcomes.

Governance & Compliance

Ensure projects comply with governance, security and compliance standards.

Maintain effective RAID management and escalation processes.

Support business readiness, training and change management activities.

Requirements

Proven experience managing Data, AI or Analytics projects.

Strong project management expertise using Agile, Waterfall or hybrid methodologies.

Experience delivering data platforms, data warehouses, Power BI or analytics solutions.

Good understanding of AI, automation and advanced analytics technologies and their business applications.

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Experience managing budgets, schedules, project governance, risks and dependencies.

Strong ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and delivery partners.

Commercially focused, outcome driven and comfortable operating at pace.

Desirable

Experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure or manufacturing sectors.

Knowledge of Azure Data Services and Microsoft technology platforms.

Experience delivering enterprise-scale data platforms or transformation programmes.

Familiarity with Data Governance and Master Data Management programmes.

Experience managing third-party suppliers and offshore delivery teams.

Qualifications

Essential

Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.

Desirable

PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, AgilePM or equivalent.

Scrum Master, SAFe or other Agile certification.
