Job description

  • Developing and maintaining modern, responsive web applications.
  • Building intuitive user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
  • Developing real-time browser functionality using JavaScript and Server-Sent Events (SSE).
  • Working closely with software developers, engineers and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs and real-time data services.
  • Ensuring applications are accessible, performant and compatible across modern browsers.
  • Troubleshooting, debugging and optimising existing applications.
  • Contributing to code reviews and following development best practices.

Requirements

We're looking for someone with strong front-end development experience and a passion for building high-quality web applications. Essential Skills

  • Strong commercial experience with:
  • HTML5
  • CSS3
  • JavaScript (ES6+), including Server-Sent Events (SSE)
  • Experience developing responsive web applications.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs.
  • Experience using Git or other version control systems.
  • Good understanding of web accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge or experience of conferencing or unified communications technologies.
  • Experience with real-time web applications.
  • Familiarity with WebSockets.
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.
  • Experience working within an Agile development environment.
