Job description
- Develops, manages, and retains a team of highly-inquisitive technologists. Oversees the design, development and implementation of multiple engineering projects.
- Collaborates with architects, product managers and other technical or non-technical stakeholders to define design approaches that are aligned with the customer-centric product vision.
- Identifies and mitigates engineering risks. Ensures engineering and documentation best practices are understood and followed.
- Ensures successful incremental product releases while driving to deadlines and optimizing investments.
- Assures quality through efficient management of team, processes and resources. Evaluates and limits risk and vulnerabilities during the software development process by consistently employing industry best-practices.
- Stays updated with latest advancements in engineering technology and industry trends., * Utilization of Microservice development & design patterns, NoSQL Databases, AWS Cloud, and CICD pipelines;
- Programming in Java, Python, Kotlin, Hadoop, Hive, C++, nodejs, angular, react as well as AWS and Openshift to design, develop and construct applications;
- Developing applications using Hadoop technology stack that includes Hadoop Map Reduce, Spark, HDFS, Hue, Sqoop and Hive, JAVA, Spring and usage of well-known Java IDE like Eclipse, NetBeans, IntelliJ;
- Utilizing Kubernetes and UNIX software to deploy and run applications;
- Conducting performance monitoring, capacity planning, system tuning, availability planning, analysis and documentation of information to create the applicable statements of work and the associated deliverables;
- Utilizing SQL and PL/SQL with databases, including Oracle and MySQL;
- Utilizing NoSQL, MONGO, CASSANDRA, HBASE, and HIVE databases to handle application data, database queries and optimization;
- Architecting cloud native applications using Microservice design patterns and 12 factor app methodologies;
- Building Event driven systems with Event sourcing using KAFKA;
- Utilizing design patterns, including MVC, Session, Business Delegate, Subscriber, Singleton and DAO;
- Utilizing UML diagrams, including Use Case Diagram, Activity Diagram, Class Diagram, Component Diagram, and Sequence Diagram with tools, including Rational Software Architect, Microsoft Visio, DRAW and Astah; and
- Performing unit, system, integration, and regression testing with tools, including IntelliJ, Junit., Artificial Intelligence * Cloud * HR Tech * Information Technology * Productivity * Software * Automation Lead the Software Asset Management engineering team, set technical direction, manage product development and release cycles, drive AI/ML and telemetry initiatives, improve test automation and performance, mentor engineers, coordinate cross-functional and global teams, and ensure scalable, high-quality enterprise solutions with 24x7 support alignment. Requirements
Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, or related field, and eight (8) years of experience in the position offered, Director of Engineering or related position.
