Job description

During this project you will:

  • Set up and configure QuickBooks for the business
  • Organize and enter financial data into QuickBooks
  • Import available electronic records and manually enter information when needed
  • Work with the business owner to ensure records are complete and accurate
  • Prepare organized financial records and reports for business review/guidance
  • Integrate Clockify with QuickBooks to improve time tracking and invoicing
  • Help organize business records so reporting is accurate and meaningful
  • Document new processes and workflows for future use
  • Research software and technology that could improve efficiency
  • Recommend practical improvements such as mileage tracking, payroll integration, or other business tools
  • Assist in creating systems that are easy to maintain as the company grows

Requirements

We're looking for someone who enjoys taking processes that feel siloed and turning them into a cohesive organized and efficient system., * Is comfortable learning new software

  • Enjoys technology and problem solving
  • Has experience with QuickBooks or is confident learning it quickly
  • Has strong attention to detail
  • Can work independently while collaborating with the business owner

  • Takes pride in accurate work and well-organized records
  • Enjoys helping small businesses grow

Preferred Experience

Experience with some or all of the following is preferred:

  • QuickBooks
  • Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)
  • Data entry and record organization
  • Small business bookkeeping
  • Business operations
  • Process improvement
  • Software implementation
  • Working with accountants or CPAs

Benefits & conditions

$20 - $25 an hour - Temporary, Part-time, Temp-to-hire, Pay: Starting at $20.00 - $25.00 per hour (DOE) Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week Project Length: Approximately 1-2 months Potential: Opportunity to transition into an ongoing part-time position for the right candidate., By the end of this project, we hope to have:

  • QuickBooks fully implemented and organized
  • Financial records entered and ready for our CPA
  • Time tracking connected with invoicing where possible
  • Improved systems that reduce manual work
  • Clear documentation of new processes
  • Recommendations for additional improvements that support the company's future growth

Future Opportunity

This position begins as a project-based assignment of approximately 20 hours per week for 1-2 months. If the project is successful and there is a mutual fit, the position may transition into an ongoing part-time role supporting business operations, technology, and process improvement as our company continues to grow.
