Job description

The Enterprise Resources Planning System Analyst Senior is responsible for planning and performing analysis to guide the subsequent design and implementation or improvement of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system., * Configure and maintain Workday Time Tracking, Absence Management, and Payroll modules.

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into Workday functional/technical designs.
  • Configure earnings, deductions, payroll and absence calculations, time off plans, leave types, time codes, and time calculations.
  • Support Workday releases by testing current configuration, evaluating new functionality and recommending enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing system support.

Business Process Design

  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with HR, Payroll, and operational stakeholders.
  • Design and optimize business processes related to time entry, leave management, payroll processing, and compliance.
  • Recommend best practices and process improvements leveraging Workday capabilities.
  • Develop functional/technical specifications and configuration documentation.

Testing & Implementation

  • Create and execute unit, integration, parallel, and user acceptance testing (UAT) plans.
  • Support data conversion, validation, and reconciliation activities.
  • Participate in Workday implementation projects, enhancements, and integrations.
  • Assist with deployment planning and post-production support.

Payroll Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure payroll configurations comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Support payroll audits, tax updates, year-end activities, and compliance reporting.
  • Partner with Payroll teams to identify and resolve processing issues.
  • Maintain security and data integrity within Workday.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Advanced Workday Report Writer experience.
  • Experience creating composite reports, matrix reports, and dashboards.
  • Support payroll reconciliation and audit reporting.
  • Analyze workforce and payroll data to provide actionable insights.

Integrations

  • Experience with Workday integrations including:
  • EIB
  • Core Connectors
  • Studio
  • Workday Web Services APIs
  • Knowledge of payroll interfaces with third-party vendors (benefits providers, time clocks, tax vendors, etc.).
  • Experience troubleshooting integration issues and performing root cause analysis.

Other

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate in business language vs technical language to those that are not as well versed in technology.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Follow established change control procedures.
  • Interface with Information Technology Services organizations and other system providers to resolve conversion and/or production issues. Determine root issues and create solutions.
  • Write document procedures. Job aids or review document procedures from less experienced staff members.

  • Quality and Process Management Certifications
  • Project Management Certifications
  • Current or previous ERP systems experience
  • Kainos Smart Audit and/or Smart Test
  • Accu-time Badge Integration Software
  • Consulting experience in multiple Workday implementations, Bachelor's Degree
