Solution Architect / Team Lead Software Development - Real Estate Platform , 80-100%)

Our real estate platform is one of our strategically most important growth products. To support the next growth phase, we are looking for a Solution Architect / Team Lead Software Development who drives the technical vision, engineering excellence, and implementation within our real estate development team.

In this role, you combine technical leadership with people management. You work closely with teams from Product Management, Design, and other business stakeholders to continuously develop the product and actively shape the future of the leading Swiss real estate marketplace. Your responsibilities

• You lead and support the engineers working on our real estate platform - across two development teams.
• You define the technical direction of the product, ensure a consistent architecture, and close coordination between both teams.
• You drive the modernisation of our technology stack, including migrating existing monolithic applications to a cloud-native architecture.
• You work closely with Product Management, Design, and other engineering teams to balance feature development, technical improvements, and operational stability.
• You identify technical risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks early and support the teams in finding suitable solutions.
• You recruit, coach, and develop engineers and promote their professional and personal growth.
• You take responsibility for important technical decisions and product-wide initiatives.

• You have proven experience in leading software development teams - including recruiting, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• You have experience with large, highly frequented, user-oriented software platforms where multiple teams collaborate.
• You possess solid knowledge in software architecture and system design and make balanced decisions between product development, technical debt reduction, and long-term platform investments.
• You enjoy working closely with product managers and business stakeholders, communicate clearly, and create cross-departmental alignment.
• You bring practical experience in software development, like to stay close to technology and code, and support your team technically when needed.
• You have experience with modern cloud-native technologies and platforms (e.g., Azure and Kubernetes). Knowledge of .NET and React/Next.js is a plus.
• You have experience with agentic coding or show a strong willingness to integrate AI-supported software development practices into your daily work.
• You communicate fluently in English. German skills are an advantage.
