Requirements

This role follows a hybrid working model, requiring 2-3 days per week in our Cape Town office.

  • 10+ years of relevant experience

  • Proficient coding in Python, with excellent knowledge of frameworks like Django or Flask

  • Experience in microservices architecture and RESTful API services

  • Experience working in an English-speaking environment

  • Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills

  • Ability to optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability

  • Experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests

  • Experience with data migration, transformation, and scripting

  • Nice to have: basic understanding of frontend JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, and Vue

  • Nice to have: knowledge of CI/CD practices

  • Nice to have: familiarity working with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, and GCP

  • Develop and support software, including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements

  • Collaborate with our frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements
