Job description
You will work as a Data Scientist in the Predictive Maintenance team. This hybrid and multi-cultural team have Data scientists, Data Engineers, a DevOps engineer, a QA engineer, an Architect, an UX designer, a Scrum Master and a Product Owner.
Through predictive solutions, the Digital Service Platform aims at optimizing Airport customers' assets usage and maintenance, impacting their performance, cost and sustainability KPIs by expanding the lifetime of the components.
In your role, you'll flexibly work on analyzing data, creating models, testing the results and discussing with users and customers the conclusions you reach, to continuously improve the insights that your models provide.
Your responsibilities:
- You will participate in the development of our products and services by designing models and developing algorithms to solve real world problems
- You will work together with your team on developing anomaly detection based solutions
- You collaborate with engineering and domain experts throughout the company and determine how to get value from our data
- Participate or support in productizing and deploying algorithms
- Keep up with advancements in the field of data science and other related fields
- You work together with your fellow data scientist located in the Netherlands as well as other locations to share experiences and learn from each other
Requirements
- You have strong knowledge of data science which you can demonstrate through your work experience, relevant degrees or personal projects
- You are experienced in solving real-world problems with data science techniques and have successfully put data science models into production with proven value
- You have a strong knowledge and proven experience with Python and PySpark. Knowledge of libraries like pandas, scikit-learn and TensorFlow is required.
- You have knowledge and proven experience using cloud platforms, particularly DataBricks, for ML model development.
- Knowledge and Experience with MLOps (E2E Data and Machine Learning Pipelines) is required.
- You are a strong communicator, which can translate technical results and ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
- You have experience working with colleagues located in different parts of the world
- You are familiar working according to CRISP-DM cycles
- Experience with Predictive Maintenance model development is a plus.
- You are fluent in English; Dutch is a nice-to-have

This position offers a competitive salary range of € 5590 to € 5900 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
