Backend Engineer - Apeldoorn

Develop and support software, including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements

• Collaborate with Frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements
• Work within our hybrid model and spend 2-3 days per week in our Johannesburg office

4+ years of relevant experience in Backend development

• Hybrid working model, requiring 2-3 days per week in our Johannesburg office
• Experience developing and supporting software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements
• Experience collaborating with Frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements
• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API services
• Experience working in an English-speaking environment
• Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills
• Experience developing backend systems
• Experience in one or more of: Node.js, Java, Ruby, PHP, Python, etc.
• Ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into a single system
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices is a plus
• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus
