Job description

I am seeking an experienced Network Implementation Engineer to join a highly skilled networking team responsible for delivering and supporting large-scale enterprise network solutions across complex, mission-critical environments.

This role is focused on the implementation, enhancement, and lifecycle management of network infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on Business-to-Business (B2B) connectivity, DMZ environments, and network hardware refresh programmes.

The role:

  • Implement, configure, and deploy network infrastructure solutions in line with established architectural standards, governance, and policies.
  • Build and support complex network environments with a strong focus on Cisco technologies and DMZ-based connectivity solutions.
  • Analyse existing network designs and environments, providing detailed technical assessments and recommendations.
  • Produce comprehensive implementation documentation, including testing, validation, rollback, and acceptance procedures.
  • Perform technical design reviews and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Support network refresh initiatives involving end-of-life and end-of-support infrastructure.
  • Work closely with Design, Architecture, Operations, and Project teams to deliver networking solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to change management, risk management, and operational governance processes.
  • Contribute to service resilience and network stability by assessing implementation risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Assist operational support teams with troubleshooting and technical escalations when required.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, standardisation, and process improvement.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities.

  • Hands-on experience using network monitoring and analysis tools including:

  • Splunk

  • Wireshark

  • Packet captures

  • Network debugging tools

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.Demonstrated ownership, initiative, and delivery focus., * CCNP Certification
