Principal UI Engineer

They are looking for a Principal UI Engineer to sit at the top of their front-end stack - someone who sets direction, owns architecture and makes the engineers around them better. They are open to strong Senior Engineers ready to make that step up.

What you'll be doing

• Leading UI architecture and engineering standards across a complex, high-scale financial platform
• Driving delivery of ambitious front-end features from design through to production
• Setting patterns, tooling and best practices that the wider engineering team works to
• Collaborating closely with product, design and back-end engineers to ship cohesive, high-quality experiences
• Mentoring and developing senior engineers around you
• Contributing to technical strategy and acting as a voice for front-end craft at leadership level

• Deep expertise in React, with a strong understanding of performance, architecture and modern front-end engineering at scale
• Solid experience with AWS and cloud-based infrastructure
• A track record of owning and delivering large front-end initiatives end to end
• Experience working in complex, multi-team product environments
• Someone who leads through influence and brings a team along with them
• Strong Senior Engineers ready to step up to Principal level are encouraged to apply
