Job description
We're looking for an Android Engineer to join the Camera Client Squad and help build video and camera experiences used by millions of Xfinity customers. In this role, you'll develop high-quality mobile features, collaborate across teams, and contribute to a modern Android codebase powering real-time streaming and device interactions.
This is an ideal opportunity for engineers who enjoy building user-facing features, working with video technology, and contributing to scalable mobile architectures.
What You'll Do

Build and maintain Android features for camera and video experiences

Collaborate with product, backend, and device teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

Contribute to app architecture, design discussions, and technical decisions

Write clean, maintainable Kotlin code using modern Android frameworks

Improve app performance, reliability, and user experience

Debug and resolve production issues

Participate in code reviews and support a culture of continuous improvement
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional Android development experience
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with MVVM or similar architecture patterns
- Solid debugging and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with video playback or streaming (e.g., ExoPlayer, HLS, WebRTC, RTSP)
- Familiarity with Jetpack Compose and modern Android development tools
- Understanding of Android permissions, privacy, and app lifecycle
- Experience building or maintaining large-scale consumer applications
