Job description

We are seeking an experienced IT Services System Administrator to support a growing technical services team. This role is heavily focused on systems administration and advanced end user support in a Windows-based environment. The person in this role will be responsible for supporting and maintaining on prem Windows servers, hosted services, web-based services, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, virtualization environments, and overall IT infrastructure. This individual will also help support up to Tier 3 help desk issues, troubleshoot escalated technical problems, and assist with day-to-day administration across servers, systems, and user environments. The environment includes a mix of Windows devices, Macs, and Chromebooks, so they need to be comfortable supporting a variety of systems. This is a hybrid role, onsite Tuesday-Thursday in Norristown PA.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in systems administration Strong experience supporting Windows servers in an on prem environment Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies, especially Hyper-V Previous experience supporting hosted services, software applications, and web-based services Ability to troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues up to Tier 3 support Experience working within a ticketing system environment Knowledge of general IT infrastructure including servers, user support, and system administration Comfortable supporting a mix of Windows, Mac, and Chromebook devices Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a lean IT environment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with VMware Exposure to networking, including general infrastructure knowledge Experience with Freshservice ticketing system Prior experience in a technical services or help desk/service desk style environment Experience supporting educational or multi-site environments Ability to assist with site visits and onsite technical support as needed
