Job description

As an Agentic AI MCP Integration Specialist , you will make an impact by designing, implementing, and supporting integrations between Agentic AI systems and enterprise tools using the Model Context Protocol (MCP) . You will be a valued member of the AI Engineering and Integration team and work collaboratively with AI architects, software engineers, data teams, cloud engineers, cybersecurity teams, and business stakeholders to build scalable, secure, and production-ready agentic automation solutions

In this role, you will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain MCP servers and reusable connectors that expose enterprise applications, APIs, data platforms, and business tools to AI agents.

  • Integrate MCP-enabled tools with generative AI applications, copilots, and agent frameworks to enable secure access to enterprise data, workflows, and services.

  • Build integrations across enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Teams, Databricks, Snowflake, databases, and internal APIs.

  • Implement secure authentication, authorization, governance, and monitoring capabilities that support enterprise-scale AI deployments.

  • Develop automated testing, observability, and operational support practices to ensure reliable, scalable, and compliant MCP-based integrations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, API integration, enterprise application integration, or data engineering.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Python and experience developing APIs, connectors, microservices, or integration services.

  • Experience working with Generative AI, LLM-powered applications, AI orchestration frameworks, or agent-based automation solutions.

  • Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, cloud-native development, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise security standards.

These will help you stand out

  • Experience developing or supporting Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, connectors, or AI tool integration frameworks.

  • Experience with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or similar agent frameworks.

  • Knowledge of Azure cloud services, Kubernetes, event-driven architectures, and enterprise observability platforms.

  • Experience implementing OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, API security, and governance controls.

  • Experience with vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), semantic search, knowledge management platforms, or enterprise AI governance frameworks.

  • Insurance or Financial Services industry experience.

  • Experience integrating enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Teams, Databricks, Snowflake, CRM, ERP, or other business-critical systems.

Benefits & conditions

The annual salary for this position is between $ 98,000 - $ 115,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
