Job description
We are looking for an experienced Test Automation Engineer to join our specialized business division delivering secure population identification, biometrics, and government document solutions.
You'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality, security, and reliability of systems that governments and institutions depend on for identity verification and document issuance.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks across complex, security-critical systems - from biometric matching pipelines to document issuance workflows and backend data platforms., * Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Selenium and Playwright for web-based applications and administrative platforms
- Write and maintain BDD-style test scenarios using Cucumber, collaborating with business analysts and QA to keep specifications aligned with functional requirements
- Build and execute test cases validating data integrity and business logic against PostgreSQL databases, including complex queries for backend verification
- Develop and maintain automated regression, integration, and end-to-end test suites for identity, biometric, and document-related workflows
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and fast, reliable release cycles
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and cross-functional discussions within an Agile/Scrum environment
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience in test automation or QA engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for automated UI testing
- Practical experience with Playwright for modern web application testing
- Solid working knowledge of PostgreSQL, including writing SQL queries for data validation
- Familiarity with Cucumber and Gherkin syntax for behavior-driven testing
- Experience with at least one programming language commonly used in test automation (e.g., Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python)
- Understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and defect lifecycle management
- Experience working with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
