Database Architect

• You will join a five-person "Database Administrator" team responsible for managing SFPD databases, supporting development teams with database-related matters, and developing internal tools.
• You will support infrastructure modernization by leading the migration of our critical databases to Oracle 26ai.

Specifically, you will:

• Administer and optimize production and non-production databases
• Work closely with application, infrastructure, and security teams, providing support during critical incidents
• Manage configuration changes based on business needs
• Define and implement a secure access strategy (IAM principles, roles, permissions, auditing)
• Contribute to demonstrating NIS2 compliance regarding data
• Help design robust, tested backup and recovery strategies
• Regularly validate disaster recovery plans and ensure service restoration in the event of a disaster
• Document procedures and keep them up to date
• Communicate clearly regarding risks and solutions
• Needless to say, this role is crucial to the smooth operation of all the institution's business applications, particularly the monthly payment of approximately 2,800,000 pensions.

• In-depth knowledge of Oracle RDBMS, DataGuard, and RMAN
• In-depth knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and RDS
• Knowledge of Linux
• Knowledge of MS-SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Apache, and Tomcat is a plus
• Knowledge of and practical experience with Agile and Scrum
• Ability to handle and resolve issues independently, exploring alternatives and implementing solutions in consultation with colleagues
• Ability to work in a team and share skills to achieve common goals
• Customer-oriented mindset, with a constant focus on efficiency and productivity Technical project management (small-scale)
• Ability to lead a team is an asset
