Storage Engineer / SAN SDS Specialist

• You design and implement modern storage solutions with consideration for high availability, scalability, and redundancy.
• Based on the respective requirements, you select suitable storage technologies such as Fibre Channel, Ceph, or NVMe-oF and RoCE.
• You integrate storage systems seamlessly into existing infrastructures (servers, virtualization, cloud and backup), configure them, and put them into productive operation.
• For continuous develop of our storage infrastructure, you evaluate new technologies and build test setups or prototype environments.
• You automate operational processes using scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python) as well as automation frameworks such as Ansible.
• You monitor performance, availability, and utilization using suitable monitoring solutions and ensure stable operation.

• Strong knowledge of Linux systems and storage solutions
• Experience in planning and implementing scalable, highly available storage solutions
• Confidence in designing complex storage architectures, ideally supported by practical experience
• Familiarity with storage networks such as Fibre Channel and iSCSI, as well as scale-out NAS systems
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and Python
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and OpenTofu
• Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and storage hardware from leading manufacturers (e.g. Dell, HPE, Huawei)
• Strong communication skills in German and English (both at least B2 CEFR level)
