Job description

As a Technical Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture of two strategic enterprise Salesforce environments. Working across two long-term customer engagements, you'll combine hands-on technical leadership with strategic advisory responsibilities, helping clients build secure, scalable, and future-ready Salesforce platforms.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing deep technical expertise with stakeholder engagement, governance, and architectural decision-making. You'll collaborate closely with client leadership, development teams, and fellow Nextview consultants to deliver high-quality Salesforce solutions that create lasting business impact.

WHAT YOU'lL BE DOING

  • Lead the end-to-end Salesforce architecture across two strategic enterprise accounts, ensuring scalable, secure, and maintainable platform solutions.
  • Design and review complex technical solutions, providing architectural guidance and best practices to both internal and external development teams.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed technical designs, user stories, and implementation guidance.
  • Define architectural standards, governance models, and quality assurance processes to support long-term platform maturity.
  • Drive release management activities, including deployment governance through DevOps Center, GitHub, and Salesforce release planning.
  • Design and review enterprise integration architectures involving Salesforce, MuleSoft, ERP platforms, and other connected systems.
  • Advise clients on security, identity management, authentication, and Salesforce platform changes, ensuring compliance with enterprise security standards.
  • Identify technical debt, recommend platform improvements, and drive architectural initiatives that improve scalability and maintainability.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor for senior client stakeholders, communicating architectural trade-offs, technical risks, and strategic recommendations.
  • Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation, architecture decisions, and implementation guidelines in Confluence.
  • Collaborate with developers by reviewing solution approaches and providing technical coaching on Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce platform best practices.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience delivering Salesforce solutions, including several years in a Technical Architect or Lead Architect capacity.
  • Proven experience designing enterprise-scale Salesforce architectures across multiple Salesforce Clouds.
  • Strong expertise in Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (MCAE).
  • Experience with Experience Cloud and B2B Commerce is considered a strong advantage.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise integration patterns, APIs, MuleSoft, and ERP integrations.
  • Experience establishing Salesforce governance, architecture standards, and Centre of Excellence (CoE) practices.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce security, identity management, SSO, SAML, and release management.
  • Comfortable reviewing Apex and Lightning Web Components, providing technical leadership without requiring day-to-day hands-on development.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working across different client cultures, adapting your approach to structured enterprise environments as well as more agile organisations.
  • Fluent in English, with professional German language skills required for client-facing communication.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to client locations across Germany as required for workshops, stakeholder meetings, and key project activities.
