Job description
- We work closely with our product manager, engineers, and stakeholders to understand real-world needs and translate them into working software.
- We build and improve our internal tools using Ruby on Rails and related technologies.
- We make iterative improvements to our monolith and contribute to new features that support our expanding curated range of products.
- We write clear, tested, secure, and maintainable code, and take part in code reviews to ensure high-quality solutions.
- We explore ideas and opportunities to improve our monolith and workflows.
- We help shape technical decisions by sharing ideas and contributing to discussions about architecture, tooling, and best practices.
- We contribute to technical discussions and help ensure our solutions align with our technical strategy and business goals.
- We collaborate with our squad to deliver work in small, valuable increments using agile practices and modern tooling.
- We monitor, debug, and improve the performance of our systems using observability tools.

Requirements
- We need a Ruby developer with 2+ years of experience and good knowledge of Ruby on Rails in a production environment.
- We need experience working with RESTful APIs, GitHub or similar version control tools, and testing tools such as RSpec.
- We value curiosity, a desire to understand how things work, and an interest in performance improvement and solving real-world problems through code.
- We would love experience in a fast-growing, preferably consumer-facing startup or scaleup.
- We would also value experience with distributed service architectures, including testing, releasing, and maintaining system stability across independent services.
