Job description
JDR Recruitment are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to lead the delivery of multi-disciplinary water and wastewater projects across the UK for our client based in Chilcompton, Somerset. You'll oversee designs from feasibility through to construction support and handover, ensuring safe, compliant and cost-effective solutions for our utility clients., * Support the Project Lead Engineer in delivering high-quality technical solutions
- Assist with projects from feasibility studies, surveys and scoping through outline and detailed design to construction documentation and final handover
- Produce technical reports, engineering calculations, design drawings and specifications in line with relevant industry standards
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary project teams to develop practical, cost-effective engineering solutions
- Identify and communicate any residual project risks associated with design solutions
- Manage and update design models and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance within the Common Data Environment (CDE)
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company procedures, quality standards and industry best practice
Requirements
Essential:
- A BEng or MEng in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Experience using Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- The ability to work independently using AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong computer literacy and digital engineering skills
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Great attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes and experience working within a Common Data Environment (CDE)
Desirable:
- Experience within the water or wastewater infrastructure space
