Job description

  • Design, develop, maintain, and support RPA solutions using Blue Prism and VBA across our DC Operations
  • Resolve issues promptly, conduct root cause analysis, and maintain comprehensive documentation to established standards
  • Create and deploy robust RPA and VBA solutions aligned with best practices
  • Work closely with non-technical stakeholders to define and assess business requirements and ensure deliverables meet needs
  • Define, follow, and continuously improve development lifecycles
  • Manage automation projects from inception to completion
  • Influence and engage senior stakeholders to secure buy-in and align with strategic goals and resource optimisation
  • Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency through data analysis and insight
  • Design and implement tools that proactively support business needs and drive performance improvements
  • Provide technical support for key Management Information and work management systems
  • Safeguard data integrity and develop enhancements that enable accurate, efficient information retrieval and reporting
  • Offer expert guidance and mentorship in programming, testing, and automation practices
  • Foster knowledge sharing and support the development of team capabilities

Requirements

  • Knowledge of past and present products, with the ability to acquire and maintain knowledge of new product propositions
  • Advanced knowledge of systems used across DC Savings
  • Expert understanding of SQL (Transact and DB2) to build efficient, complex queries and database applications
  • Extensive expert knowledge of Robotic Process Automation and Visual Basic for Applications so applications can be built and supported to best practice standards
  • Ability to support defect and issue analysis, data investigations, and business acceptance testing
  • Excellent numeric aptitude with strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to recognise and define complex patterns and relationships in data held in MI systems and databases
  • Ability to model and document detailed application requirements, translating technical specifications into programmed applications
  • Ability to functionally test developed applications to ensure performance against technical specifications
