Job description

  • We identify, create and maintain the Data Dictionary required to deliver new requirements, mapped to the as-is Data Dictionary to support data migration and transition planning.
  • We review contractual specifications, detailed business requirements and functional requirements to provide gap analysis of current versus new data.
  • We coordinate new data sources with client counterparts, ensuring they are stored and used in line with security marking and commercial sensitivity requirements, and made available to the development team.
  • We advise and assist in creating synthetic data for development and testing where actual data sets are unavailable or unsuitable.
  • We identify, create and lead the governance and stakeholder relationships needed to ensure development and test data is accurate, appropriate and handled correctly.
  • We support the Senior Transition Manager and Technical Project Manager to ensure transition planning includes clear, realistic and achievable data migration and data transition tasks and milestones.
  • We help plan operational transition with the client, including decisions related to open work orders, part-complete or incomplete work orders, invoicing and supplier exit.
  • We prepare all required data for transition to live.
  • We lead any required hypercare data reconciliation exercises.
  • We support the Project Coordinator and Technical PM in identifying data risks, issues and assumptions for the RAID log.
  • We support the Technical PM with Quality Gateway management, including providing data products required for gateway assessments.

Requirements

  • We have experience working in a programme environment involving data migration and transition, or in a project where data is collated, refined and remodelled for migration from one IT platform to another.
  • We have experience with data used in CAFM software and/or delivering FM contracts.
  • We have experience working with SQL and MS Excel, including Pivot Tables and Macros.
  • We have experience gathering and presenting analytics, reports and findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • We have experience producing materials outlining the transition of data from source to source.
  • We have experience with systemised processes and workflows, with clear alignment between data flows and business flows.
  • We have experience ensuring the integrity of data provided to developers for use in different systems.
  • We have experience leveraging data for business insights and decision-making while maintaining data integrity and security.
  • We have experience working in fast-paced projects with fixed go-live dates.
  • We have intermediate MS Excel skills, including a working understanding of macros and Pivot Tables.
  • We have a basic understanding of SQL.
  • We have some experience using Jira KANBAN or another digital KANBAN tool.
  • We have a good working knowledge of software, integration and hosting technologies, including Azure and IaaS virtualised environments.
