Job description
Based on the Devon & Cornwall Police site, this role is central to delivering reliable and high-performing data network services that support critical emergency operations. You'll work closely with customers, service desk, and wider technical teams to resolve incidents and maintain service across LAN and WAN environments. With ownership of complex issues and opportunities to act as an escalation point, this role offers a hands-on position in keeping vital services running smoothly. This role will involve participation in an out of hours on-call rota., * Managing incidents end-to-end, ensuring timely resolution within agreed service levels
- Acting as an escalation point for complex issues and coordinating with internal teams and partners
- Communicating clearly with customers and stakeholders throughout the incident lifecycle
- Ensuring adherence to ITIL processes, security standards, and audit requirements
- Contributing to continuous improvement, including knowledge management and network lifecycle activities
Requirements
Please note you must either hold or be eligible for SC (Security Clearance) & NPPV 3 Clearance for this role, which will require a minimum of 5 years working history in the UK to be eligible., * Customer-focused approach, with a proactive mindset toward service delivery
- Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and ownership of actions and outcomes
- Experience working collaboratively across teams and functions
- Technical experience in two or more of the following: Cisco networking, network security, wireless technologies, or tools such as Cisco ISE, DNAC, or SolarWinds (CCNA or working towards is beneficial)
- Able to communicate clearly, translating technical information for a range of audiences
- Adaptable and organised, with the ability to build relationships and produce clear technical documentation
