We are seeking a friendly and organised Day Service Receptionist to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our day service centre by providing excellent customer service, managing administrative tasks, and maintaining effective communication with clients and staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong office experience and a professional demeanour, contributing to a welcoming environment for all visitors and service users., * Greet visitors and clients upon arrival, ensuring a warm and professional first impression
- Manage incoming calls, directing enquiries to the appropriate departments or personnel
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining accurate records
- Schedule appointments and coordinate daily activities within the centre
- Assist with correspondence, including emails and letters
- Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary materials
- Support other administrative functions as required to facilitate centre operations
Requirements
- Previous office or administrative experience is essential
- Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in using standard office software programmes (e.g., MS Office)
- Friendly, approachable manner with a professional attitude
- Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
- Prior experience working in a care or community setting is desirable but not essential
