  • We contribute to system architecture and code optimization
  • We troubleshoot issues and support the platforms ongoing development
  • We work with server-side C++ applications, databases, front-end integrations, and Python modules
  • We collaborate closely within a small development team
  • We participate in meetings as required, including travel to Elstree when needed
  • We help build a cutting-edge platform over a 12 to 18 month contract

  • C++, We are offering a 12 to 18 month outside IR35 contract for a Senior C++ Software Engineer to work on a cutting-edge edge processing platform. Our team is developing a solution that transforms fiber optic sensor data into actionable insights through advanced algorithms. The role is remote, with the preference that candidates are based in or around Central or North London and able to travel to Elstree for meetings as required. This is a great long-term contract opportunity to join a small development team and contribute to an innovative technical platform.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of modern C++ (C17+)
  • Experience with Python or Matlab
  • Experience with data signal processing, geophysics, or seismicity
  • Knowledge of service architectures, REST APIs, WebSocket, databases, containers, and cloud services such as AWS or Azure
  • Understanding of modern software development practices, including version control with Git, bug tracking, test frameworks, documentation, design, and DevOps or containers
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies such as JavaScript, Svelte, TypeScript, or Angular
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to design scalable systems
  • Experience working in agile methodologies
  • Strong technical communication skills
  • Experience with server-side C++ applications and databases
  • Experience interfacing front-end systems and Python modules
