Job description
- Deliver functionality across the entire stack, in line with our software requirements.

Requirements
- Good familiarity with RESTful web services.
- Excellent understanding of TypeScript, React, and Node.
- Mission-driven, high-energy, and naturally curious with a strong sense of urgency for results.
- Genuine passion for technology and our mission.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, taking ownership of features end to end, and balancing velocity with technical quality.
- Experience within eCommerce and/or payments.
- Good understanding of OOP and/or functional paradigms.
- Good understanding of NextJS or similar server-focused frontend meta-frameworks; bonus if you have used React Server Components.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools, particularly GitHub Actions.
- Experience using or deploying to AWS and/or Kubernetes, using IaC tools such as Terraform or CDK.
- Experience working with monorepos and tooling such as NX, Lerna, or Bazel.
- Experience with Cypress, Playwright, or other test automation tools and processes.
- Familiarity or interest in observability and metrics tooling.

We are KatKin, a mission-driven company changing the cat food industry with 100% fresh-cooked premium meat recipes designed by our in-house vets and nutritionists. We are building a global challenger brand in cat health and wellbeing, with plans to expand beyond fresh food into products and services that help cat parents manage their cats health. We are currently a UK D2C business that has expanded into retail and is preparing for international markets from 2025 onwards. You will join our close-knit Engineering team and work closely with our Director of Engineering, Product, Design, Data, and the wider engineering group. This role is based in our London office in Farringdon three days a week, and we offer a hybrid working model with up to two days WFH each week.
