Grace May is delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established organisation to recruit an IT Support Engineer.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous IT support experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative IT team. You'll play a key role in providing technical support to users while gaining exposure to infrastructure, Microsoft technologies and a variety of IT projects., * Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to users via phone, email and in person.
- Log, prioritise and resolve support requests using the helpdesk system.
- Install, configure and support desktops, laptops and printers.
- Assist with the administration and maintenance of Windows Server and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Support network connectivity and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Help maintain backup and disaster recovery systems.
- Liaise with third-party suppliers to resolve hardware and software issues.
- Assist with IT upgrades, projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide occasional support to other company locations as required.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in an IT Support, Service Desk or Helpdesk role.
- Experience supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Office.
- Experience installing and supporting desktop and laptop hardware.
- Basic knowledge of Windows Server.
- An understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP and VPN.
- Experience using an IT helpdesk or ticketing system.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
